All of us have hidden in our memory banks experiences of other lifetimes, and some of us are impelled by circumstances, and memories bubbling to the surface of our awareness, to engage with them and write about them.
When I was fourteen, I experienced a déjà vu flashback of a lifetime in Germany in the 1800s. Later I experienced another connection with that lifetime, when I became mesmerized by a book on Napoleon I found in my parents’ library. Later still, when studying art history and history of furnishings at American University, visions of that lifetime, set in the early nineteenth century, returned. While visiting Alsace- Lorraine in 2006, more memories, plus synchronistic events, manifested themselves as if from nowhere. When studying Napoleon’s Josephine, I felt as if I had known her! After several regressions, her memories came together into a coherent whole.

When I was fourteen years old visiting Germany with my parents, we visited Rothenberg and it is a pristine preserved 15 -16 century medieval township surrounded by walls. I felt as if I was walking on air in a daze while feeling a kinsman ship with the village, the people, and the town clock. On the hour it rang and I was mesmerized with the menagerie of characters that popped out and rang the bell. I felt certain I had seen this before while a tingling sensation climbed up my spine.
